Ann-Marie Powell - special guest of Landscape Architect
She is the author of three books about garden design. She regularly writes for magazines and her articles can be found, among others, in The Telegraph, Gardens Illustrated and The English Garden. She appears on television, especially the BBC channel, where she hosts garden programs, and presents interesting projects and garden history. On a panel of experts, she participates in a series of programs in which six amateurs are competing for the chance to design and build a garden on the main avenue at RHS Chelsea. Ann-Marie Powell has been connected with this exhibition for years - in 2011 she received a silver medal, and a gold a year earlier. In 2015 she again won gold at the RHS show at Hampton Court. The same year she was chosen by the Royal Horticultural Society as their garden designer at RHS Chelsea 2016.
Her sense of commitment, charisma and extensive scope of activity makers her a frequent guest at seminars and conferences where she is keen to share her experience. Her energy is also visible in the Internet and in social media - blogs, Facebook and Instagram, where she regularly publishes new posts. She is also particularly proud of her role as patron in Greenfingers, a charity that supports sick children in hospices, by creating beautiful garden interiors for them and their parents.
